For most women this happens every 28 days or so but its common for periods to be more or less frequent than this ranging from day 21 to day 40 of their menstrual cycle. It may take a couple of months for your period to settle into a regular schedule and consistency. The menstrual cycle which is counted from the first day of one period to the first day of the next isnt the same for every woman.

Neither is any cause for concern. However some girls get their period for just two days lucky them and some bleed for seven days.
